Should We Embrace Crypto?

Go or not-go... Another dilemma this time raised in a real-life HBR case study on the crypto use matter with a non-financial services company, remarkably - the educational one.

Indeed, compelling arguments for and reasonable doubts against can easily equalize the scales of risk appetite VS opportunity or gravitate it one way or another. In a nutshell - it's all about perception and attitude. But a much more vivid observation is that crypto is inevitably pervading across industries and markets, expands from personal to corporate agendas, and brings in potential for paving brand-new ways of development and growth.

Another takeaway smurfed between the lines is the perceived fears of executive leaders and shareholders triggered by emerging, but yet not sustained innovations that are born outside their business or experience. Albeit crypto per se bears quite similar risks like many other financial instruments that they eagerly play with.

That’s another intersection along the way where you are free to decide - proceed calmly straight ahead to the destination with the same safe speed and no worries (at least for a while). Or put the risk-averse mode aside, seize the moment and take a turn to seek a shortcut and capture new experience behind the backdrop of emerging innovations.

Crypto is already here, enabling "reinvent the possible" for many companies and industries in the ever-changing world. Then why should one refrain from embracing and leveraging it?
